Camp Naz Team
Camp Nazareth offers a wide variety of seasonal staff positions throughout the summer camp season. In addition to pay, staff at Camp Nazareth gain lifelong experiences and build work skills in a fun environment surrounded by their peers.

Male/Female Councelor
Councelor are our boots on the ground. They eat, sleep, and breathe camp spirit, and bring more energy at 8 am than most kids have all day! Councelor run the show in their cabin, and creativity is encouraged! Counselors must be at least 17-18 years old by the start of staff training week.
Councelor in Training (CIT's)
The CIT program is the coolest club at camp. As campers age out, they get the opportunity to come and be a CIT before taking the full jump into being a counselor. This is a fun/learning-based program where CITs gain skills to work with children, manage a cabin, build a strong work ethic, and have a lot of fun doing it! They have nightly check-in meetings to review their day, ask questions, and get feedback on how to improve! If all goes well, they have a guaranteed spot on our staff the following summer!
Specialty Counselor

Arts and Crafts- We love art; you love art, hopefully, and if you want to share the fun of making arts and crafts with campers, then this is the position for you! The A&C Counselor creates lesson plans for each age group, then teaches them during each cabin's A&C.

Sports- Sports are a foundational block at summer camp. The competition, the rivalries, and the passion are what make sports so much fun for our campers. The sports counselor will meet with each cabin once a day and run whatever activity they think best fits that group.

Archery (Certification Required)-The Archery Counselor is in charge of... you guessed it, Archery! This person teaches not only how to shoot a bow and arrow but also the safety that comes with this activity. This person also has their very own dedicated Archery field where the activity takes place.
Lifeguards (Certification Required)
Ever heard of Baywatch? Yeah, we're not quite like that, but our lifeguards do know how to have fun while maintaining the safest environment possible for our campers and staff. Our Lifeguards watch over all waterfront activities, including swimming and boating!
Camp Nurse (Certification Required)
Our camp nurse is the heart of camp, literally. They work hard so the campers can play even harder! The camp nurse keeps everyone safe, ensures medications are taken, and supports the occasional homesick camper. Without our camp nurse, honestly, we couldn't run camp- not only legally, but who else would give out all the popsicles when the campers get too hot!
Kitchen Crew

Head Cook- They are the King/ Queen of the kitchen. They order the food, create the menu, and cook that camp food!

Assistant Cook- They are second in command; they help make sure our camp is fed and on time.

Kitchen Assistant-This role typically serves as an alternative to the CIT program for our younger staff. They help serve food, control the mess hall, and clean the trays. Campers commonly bribe this person with candy for seconds or thirds.
Maintenance Assistant
The Maintenance Assistant position is the glue that holds camp together. They clean, restock, and keep our camp looking great! This position typically serves as an alternative to the CIT program for our younger staff.
